About Omega Construction

Founded in 1991 — progressing into one of the leading indigenous owned construction companies in Uganda.

Omega Construction LTD is registered under Class A+ on the register of contractors for building, road construction, and bridges — the highest class attainable in Uganda according to the Ministry of Works and Transport.

The company is a registered member of the Uganda National Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (UNABCEC). The Managing Director, Pius Mugalaasi Mugerwa, an alumnus of Leeds University, UK, is a former Secretary General of the Association (2003–2013).

Through participation in state-level engineering construction projects, the Company has made significant contributions to transportation infrastructure and people's livelihoods. Omega has also carried out works regionally, including in Kigali, Rwanda.

Current Project

Kayunga – Nakasongola Ssezzibwa River Crossing

Omega Construction LTD is currently executing the construction of the Ssezzibwa River Crossing connecting Kayunga and Nakasongola districts.

This critical infrastructure project will improve connectivity and boost economic activity in the region.
